Dr. Gwendolyn Roberts is a licensed Mental Health Therapist, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from New Jersey State University in 1978, a Master's degree in Counseling and Guidance Services in 2001 and her PhD in Counselor Education from NC State in 2018.
Dr. Roberts is currently the Executive Director of Carteret County Rape Crisis. Educating, serving and advocating for those in need has always been a part of Dr. Roberts' fiber.
She has been a part of the Carteret Partnership Board of Directors for many years, most recently as the Carteret County Manager's designee since 2011 and as Board Chair since 2020.
Dr. Roberts has two daughters and three grandchildren.
