Real Men Read Initiative: Volunteers Making a Difference!

Mrs. Smith’s PreK class at Beaufort Elementary is once again participating in the Partnership’s Real Men Read Initiative. They started the year off by inviting “MENtor” Mr. Glenn Howell, a retired high school Agricultural teacher to read ‘Click, Clack, Moo Cows that Type’ written by Doreen Cronin to the class. After the story, each child received a copy of the book to take home and add to their home library.

The Partnership’s Real Men Read Initiative is increasing access to books, highlighting the importance of early literacy, and promoting male role models

in early education settings.
