Meet Our Board

Cindy Holman joined the Board of Carteret Partnership for Children in 2017, representing Carteret County Department of Social Services where she serves as the Consolidated Human Services Director. Her responsibilities include management of the Department of Social Services, the Public Health Department, Animal Control and Environmental Health.

Cindy is a 37-year veteran in governmental services, primarily within the Department of Social Services. Her past experience includes 18 1/2 years with Caldwell County DSS, 4 years with Gaston County DSS, 4+ year with Alexander County DSS, 5 years as Program Monitor with the NC Department of Health and Human Services and now, with Carteret County.

In addition to her current service with Carteret Partnership, she has served as a Smart Start Board member in Gaston and Alexander County.

Cindy has been married to Greg Holman, a retired Corrections Officer, for 38 years. They share two adult sons (Matt - age 33) and Mason - age 31), who live in Hampstead and Jacksonville, NC respectively. She will tell you on any given day that her most exciting accomplishment is her three beautiful grandchildren - Braelee - 10, Selah - 8, and Leeland - 5).
