Carteret County Partnership for Children has many community partners, all united in their concern for the healthy development of young children. Some partners are Direct Service Providers, whose programs are funded totally, or in part, by the Partnership. Other partners are agencies and individuals that join with us to provide special events for families. All childcare facilities, teachers and directors are partners, many receiving technical assistance and funding from the Partnership.
The Partnership benefits childcare teachers by providing a Health Benefits for Providers Program, available through their employer's participation, as funding allows. Teachers can also benefit be receiving Supplement for Professional Development as they increase their education.
Childcare facilities can join the Ratio Reduction Program that allows centers to reduce the child-staff ratio in infant-toddler rooms by paying for an additional teacher. Centers and Family Childcare Homes can receive technical assistance from CCR&R for higher quality in terms of lesson planning, room arrangement, curriculum implementation, classroom management, and early literacy, math and science education. Support for starting up a facility is also available.
Partners are encouraged to join the Resource Library to borrow children's books, CD's and toys, as well as teaching resources for planning.
