The Carteret County Partnership for Children has a number of opportunities for you to participate in with your young children through our Early Education Outreach Program. Weekly playgroups are held in several locations throughout the county. Lisa Lewis and Tara Craig provide educational opportunities for children and parents alike through a variety of age appropriate activities and parent support. Click on our calendar for playgroup schedules and locations. In addition to morning playgroups, special holiday get-togethers, field trips, and summer programs help you establish a network of support and knowledge that will benefit you and your child.

Parents may also access our Resource Library in the Partnership office. Children's books, toys, and parent-teacher resources can be borrowed for a fee of $10.00 a year. The materials are labeled for different age groups from infant through school age. Staff members are always available to help you find what you need.

Our newsletter, "The Partnership Press", is printed bi-monthly and contains articles about child development and parenting as well as a calendar with fun daily activities, age appropriate learning, a review of seasonal children's books and playgroup sites and events.

Child Care Resource and Referral, a program of the Partnership, offers guidance to parents who are seeking childcare in legally operating centers and family childcare homes. You can learn about the star-rated licensing system from CCR&R Director, Cynthia Jackson.
